Developing Creative Schools
We all learn through experience.
Creative experiences have been proven to help young people climb their own individual learning mountains.
Within the new Schools Curriculum for Wales, the expressive arts are identified as one of the six key areas of learning.
With the context of this new impending Curriculum, we can offer schools bespoke training programmes and INSET days which will equip teachers with the methodology and skills needed to using the expressive arts as a teaching tool that can really make a difference.
The expressive arts provide a purposeful and enriching experience to improve and encourage the five creative habits of mind – young people’s imagination, inquisitiveness, collaboration, persistence and resilience.
Creative experiences allow young people to try new ways of working and encourage those who show reluctance and hesitation in traditional classroom environments to speak out and engage more fully.
